Spanierman Modern is pleased to announce the opening on April 27, 2010 of Ecliptic Terrane: John Little (1907-1984) , an exhibition of paintings and works on paper created from the 1940s through the 1970s by this pioneering member of the Abstract Expressionist movement. Little made a bold move in 1950. Following the lead of his friends Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, he left New York City to become a permanent resident of the enclave of East Hampton on Long Island's East End . This show examines the breadth of his career and his contributions to American abstract painting. A fully illustrated, forty-page exhibition catalogue, with an essay by Thomas McCormick, is available for $35 from the gallery......
